Perhaps a truly Canadian hop.  Wild Loyalist has evolved into it's current incarnation growing in local hedgerows and abandoned fields since the United Empire Loyalist pioneers originally brought it to Prince Edward County.  Now thriving with the care and attention it gets in our hopyard.

With an alpha and beta profile similar to the noble hops, our Wild Loyalist contributes mild black pepper, herbal, earth, with a floral backend.

Used successfully in Whitbier, Spruce Beer, Canadian Special Bitter, among other styles!

  • Our lab results: alpha acid 3.7-5.6% / beta acid 4.7-6.7%

  • herbal, spicy, earthy, floral, a mild aroma hop

  • similar to Saaz, Styrian Golding
